Morena everyone!
We are stoked to introduce our first guest speaker for our upcoming and FREE event, “Brown Womxn Who Cycle”: Angie Lin.
Spaces are filling fast, as it’s only 10 days away on Saturday 26th August 1.30-3pm, so if you’re a womxn of colour who’s keen to cycle, register here. Bring your bike if you like, meet and engage with awesome people, like Angie and break bread together too.
In her own words, Angie Lin shares what inspires her, where and why she cycles.

Angie Lin is a first generation Chinese Kiwi. Her family hails from Fuzhou, and have moved from Balmoral, Blockhouse to now Epsom.
She now lives in Kingsland, a 20 minute (she likes going fast) bike ride to the CBD for work, and switches between a road bike for speed and a commuter bike with racks on the back to carry shopping and food from her grandma’s house. For her, cycling is the way she gets around the city, you know exactly how long it’ll take to get anywhere.
Angie dedicates her time to two, cycling related jobs:
She is the Volunteer and Events Manager at Bike Auckland, and also manages and does engagement for Auckland based projects at consultancy called Crank.

Angie is a founding member of Bike Kingsland, a volunteer run bike group under Bike Auckland and is part of the core team steering the direction of the group. She, along with other passionate locals co-ordinated a submission on the New North Road roading project, and is the initiator for grassroots initiatives.
Angie also trains at an olympic weightlifting gym, and a motto she’s learning there and trying to simulate in her life is “just do your best”.
Thank you / 谢谢 Angie.
Keep checking back here for updates on our event and make sure you register
